What Goes Inside a Handheld Shower Filter
What a Handheld Shower Filter Does
A handheld shower filter does the same job as an inline shower filter, built into the handle you hold. The cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine in the shower stream and catch sand and rust. Because the filter is in the handle, the user can aim filtered water exactly where they want it, which is why handheld models are popular for hair rinsing, salons and beauty ranges.

PP cotton: a sediment layer that catches sand, rust and loose particles.
Copper-zinc (KDF-type) media: aimed at chlorine, usually combined with other media. See what a KDF filter is.
Calcium sulfite: used to reduce chlorine in the shower stream.
Carbon fiber: adsorbs chlorine and odor.

Which media go into a cartridge depends on the model and your market. Custom cartridge configurations are reviewed per project.
Quick and Simple Installation
Step 1 Unscrew the Shower Head
Gently remove your existing shower head from the handle.
Step 2 Insert the Filter Cartridge
Place the filter cartridge firmly into the handle, ensuring it fits securely.
Step 3 Connect Shower Head to Hose
Screw the filtered shower head back onto your shower hose tightly.
Step 4 Installation Complete
Done. Check for leaks at the hose connection before first use.
