Shower filter packaging does more than protect the product. It tells your customer where the filter goes, what is in the box, and which refill to buy three months later. Get it wrong and you pay for it in returns and lost repeat orders. At Jinko, custom packaging is a standard service on every shower filter model, and you can choose a mailer box or a gift box.
Mailer box or gift box: which fits your channel
Choose the box by where your filter is sold, not by what looks best in a mockup.
| Mailer box | Gift box | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Your own online store, marketplaces, direct shipping | Retail shelves, beauty and lifestyle stores, gifting, hotel amenities |
| What the customer notices | How the box arrives and how easy it is to open | How the box looks on the shelf and when it is unwrapped |
| What to check | The product stays in place during shipping | Front panel design, finish and how the product is presented inside |
Many brands use both: a gift box for retail and seasonal gifting, and a mailer box for online orders. If you plan two versions, decide that before you order, because each box design is approved and printed on its own. If you are building a set with spare or scented cartridges, see our guide to planning a shower filter gift set.

If your gift set includes a scented cartridge like this one, our guide to planning a custom scented shower filter line covers scents, colors and refills.
What goes inside the box
For Jinko’s inline shower filters (JK-S3, JK-S4 and JK-S6), the box contains the filter body and the cartridge. The shower head is not included. Say this clearly on the box and in your product photos, because a customer who expects a shower head will send the filter back.
The user manual is also part of your packaging and can carry your brand. Keep it short: where the filter installs, how to fit it, how to change the cartridge, and which refill to order. Translate it for each market you sell in.
What to print on the box
The outside of the box should answer the questions a customer asks before buying. Put these on the back or side panel:
- Where it installs: in front of the shower head or overhead shower. The customer keeps the shower head they already have.
- Connection: standard G1/2″ thread, usually no adapter needed.
- Operating range: water temperature 5 to 55°C, water pressure 0.1 to 0.5 MPa.
- What is in the box: filter body and cartridge, shower head not included.
- Cartridge change: every 3 to 6 months.
- Refill model: the exact replacement cartridge that fits.
- Documentation marks: only the ones that apply to that model. Jinko’s shower filters come with CE and RoHS documentation, so ask which marks are supported for your exact model before they go on the artwork.
Keep performance claims off the box unless a test report supports them for that model and cartridge. If you want to print a reduction figure, ask the factory for the report behind it first.

Packaging for replacement cartridges
Your refill pack is the product customers buy again and again, so design it with the same care as the main box. Use the same colors, logo and naming, and print the filter model it fits on the front, so customers do not buy the wrong one.
Check cartridge compatibility before you design the refill pack. On Jinko’s range, the JK-S4 and JK-S6 use the same cartridge, while the JK-S3 has its own. If you sell the S4 and S6, one refill pack can serve both. Our shower filter replacement guide covers replacement intervals in more detail.
How packaging fits into your timeline and MOQ
Printed boxes and manuals are made in print runs, which is one reason a shower filter order has a minimum quantity. At Jinko, the minimum starts from 1,000 units per model and can be adjusted depending on the model and how much you customize. Our shower filter MOQ guide explains how to plan that first quantity.
A customized sample takes 5 to 7 days, and mass production takes 20 days after you approve it. Approve the packaging together with the sample, before the full print run starts. A change after printing costs far more time than a change at the sample stage.

How to approve packaging with your sample
When the customized sample arrives, check the packaging as carefully as the filter:
- Do the colors match your brand guidelines under normal light?
- Is the logo sharp and in the right position?
- Is every word spelled correctly, in every language on the box?
- Do the model name, refill model and operating range match the product inside?
- Does the product sit firmly in the box when you shake it?
- Is there space for your barcode and any retailer labels?
Photograph the approved sample and box from every side, and keep the photos as your reference for mass production. Our private label sample approval guide covers the product side of the sample check.
