The shower filter MOQ (minimum order quantity) at Jinko starts from 1,000 units per order and can be adjusted depending on the model and how much you customize. Orders are normally placed per model rather than mixed across models. This guide explains what sets that number, what changes it, and how to plan a first order of 1,000 units so the stock actually sells through.
What MOQ means for a shower filter order
MOQ is the smallest quantity a factory will produce for you in one order. For shower filters it usually applies per model, because each model has its own housing, cartridge and packaging.
The minimum exists because several parts of the job are set up in batches. Logo printing or engraving is set up once per run. Printed boxes and manuals are ordered in print runs. A custom color, surface finish or cartridge formula is also produced as a batch. Below a certain quantity, the setup cost spread over each unit gets too high to make sense.
What changes the minimum
On Jinko’s shower filters, logo, packaging and the user manual are standard services. Cartridge formula, color and surface finish are evaluated for each order. That split tells you where the minimum is most likely to move.

| What you order | Effect on MOQ |
|---|---|
| Existing model with your logo, packaging and manual | Standard starting point: from 1,000 units |
| Custom color or surface finish | Evaluated per order, depends on the model and finish |
| Custom cartridge formula, including vitamin C scent or color | Evaluated per order, depends on the formula |
| Several models in one order | Normally not mixed; discussed case by case |
If you also sell other water filter products, such as faucet filters or pitchers, ask for the water filter MOQ of each product separately. This guide covers shower filters only.
Can you mix models in one order?
Usually not. Orders are placed per model, so 1,000 units means 1,000 of one model. Mixing can be discussed in some cases, but do not build your launch plan around it.

For a first order this is often the better choice anyway. One model means one cartridge to stock, one set of packaging to approve, and one product page to explain. You can add a second model once you know which customers buy from you and why.
How to plan 1,000 units
Before you confirm the quantity, work through three questions.
- Where will the first 1,000 sell? Split the quantity by channel: your own store, marketplaces, retail partners or hotel projects. If one channel has to absorb most of the stock, check that it can. For Amazon, see how to sell shower filters on Amazon.
- How will you test before you commit? Order a sample first and use it for photos, your listing and real installation tests.
- How many refills will you need? A shower filter cartridge should be changed every 3 to 6 months. That means each customer who keeps using your filter needs 2 to 4 replacement cartridges a year.
The refill question is the one most first orders forget. Plan the replacement cartridge, its packaging and its stock together with the filters. On Jinko’s range the JK-S4 and JK-S6 share the same cartridge while the JK-S3 has its own, so your model choice also decides how many refill SKUs you hold. Our shower filter replacement guide explains how replacement intervals are set.
Timeline from sample to stock
A sample of an existing model takes 2 to 3 days. A customized sample takes 5 to 7 days. After you approve the sample, mass production takes 20 days, and orders are checked for leaks, pressure resistance, appearance and packaging before shipment.
Shipping time comes on top and depends on your destination and shipping method. Build it into your launch date before you announce anything to your customers. Our guide to private label shower filter lead time covers each stage and what slows it down.
How to start smaller and lower your risk
The safest first order uses an existing model with your logo, packaging and manual. These are standard services, so you avoid the extra evaluation that color, finish or formula changes need. You can move to a custom color or a vitamin C formula with your own scent on the second order, once the first one has sold.
Sample fees depend on the request and can be credited against your order, so a sample is a low-cost way to check the product before you commit to the full quantity.
